BIG NEWS: We're Going To OZ!

I'm so happy I finally get to share this news! We have been working on the final details for weeks now and it's been killing me to keep it a secret. I just didn't want to announce it till it was 100% official. And as of like two seconds ago, the plane tickets have been bought and Jordan and I are going to Australia to shoot another wedding!!

Most of you have probably seen this wedding video we shot of our friend's wedding. Well, so did my Etsy friend, Belle. She wrote me asking if we'd be interested in, or able to, come to Australia to shoot her sister-in-law's wedding. She loved the video we made and thought it would be the perfect gift for the bride and groom.

Jordan and I freaked out at the news, obviously. We've been talking about taking a "big trip" for months now, and the timing of the wedding (March) was perfect. We tried not to get too excited for fear that it wouldn't work out. I mean, it sort of felt like a "too good to be true" opportunity. I'm happy to say that the details have all been worked out and it is really and truly happening! We are making a trip out of it, and will be exploring Australia on a 10 day stay!

We are so flattered and inspired to continue this new journey we have started. It's crazy to think that this would not have happened if I didn't start this blog! Everything is coming together, dreams are coming true. I still don't think I'll fully believe this is happening until I touch down in Sydney, Australia!

  1. That is such amazing news! I'm happy for you and am glad that you are able to have such an opportunity! I went to Australia six years ago and LOVED IT. I simply LOVED IT. I was there for three weeks, back when I was seventeen. I think about it quite often, and plan to go back someday, as I still have friends there. I am sure that you will enjoy your trip. Try and see as much as you can, for--even if you think you've been everywhere--you'll realize that there is so much more to Australia then you could ever possibly imagine. Also, read "Down Under" by Bill Bryson on that long plane ride. It's quite an entertaining read. :)

Again, great news, and congratulations on the opportunity!

  11. Well done you....really great to hear how blogs can do that for one's business! Makes the efforts all worthwhile!

Have a safe journey there and back - and, as one of your friends have said - see as much as you can.

Reading your post I thought to myself how great could a wedding video be? Then I watched it and WOW, you have amazing vision during filming and fantastic selection during editting. It's in a completely different league than the typical "straight filmed" wedding videos I'm used to. You caught many special little moments and the emotion of the day. It truly is a video that they can watch over and over again. You're very talented and I hope this is the start of something great for you! Congratulations! Merry Christmas!

  17. So incredibly awesome! I'm entirely jealous! I lived there for nearly a year and haven't had a chance to go back since then (over 5 years ago) and miss it terribly. You're going to absolutely LOVE it! Looking forward to reading about your trip when it finally comes around. :)
