7 Day Push

Have you heard about the 7 Day Push? Ashley, of After Nine to Five, created this awesome idea of taking one small step each week towards a better lifestyle. Weekly themes will range from exercising to penny pinching.

The hardest part for me with this sort of thing is staying motivated. I will start exercising but tend to fall off the wagon after a week. I'll think I have too much other stuff to do. And while, yes, I'm usually pretty busy, will it really kill me to take 15 minutes out of my day to exercise?

That is this week's challenge. 15 minutes of exercise a day. When I say it, it sounds easy. What's 15 minutes out of an entire day? But, I know I will be faced with "but I really need to get these Etsy orders packaged up" or "I need to write a blog post." I need to learn how to put work on hold for my health.

So my plan for this week is to bike ride after work every day. We like to take our pup, Penny, to the park by our house. There are always other dogs there that she can play with (and that will wear her out!).

I hope you'll join in and link up over on Ashley's blog! You can also use the hashtag #7DayPush on Twitter to find fellow bloggers that are participating. Let's work together and DO THIS!

  1. What an inspirational post! I've been working hard at my weight loss goals. You sound so much like me because I always put exercise at the end of my priorities (if I have time, then I'll do it) when it should be your number one priority! How does adding years to your life so can actually do more things? That is what regular exercise can do for you.

I think I finally have a handle on it and it sounds like you do as well! Keep it up and you will reap the rewards and there will be many!

  2. I am a devoted reader of yours on my other profile and I must say that your blog is looking beautiful as always.

I wanted to quickly take the time to let you know that I have recently started a new blog. Using my knowledge as a biomedical scientist, I aim to expose the truth about beauty whilst presenting readers with tips and advice on how they can derive their own, natural beauty products. I hope I will see you there.

I hope to launch some of my own products soon and I would very much like to contact you when I do so for some advice.

    All the best,
    Voe.

  3. Exercising and eating better have always been goals I want to follow through on, but when work or other obligations get in the way, they always seem to be the ones that go. I don't have a good reason for it, either.

I know you have it in you to do this for a week! And if it keeps up, even if it's 2-3 times a week, it's better than nothing.

Thanks for joining in - I can't wait to see your progress! :]

That is a great idea! I've been thinking for a few months now about getting back on track with my health. We moved to a different city and I am still job hunting so it's been a struggle for my motivation.

I think you've picked the right way to start. I wish you luck with your goal! And glad I read this post, I'm going to try to do this soon.
