DIY Studded Shorts Tutorial

I had some studs left over from the Studded iPhone Case Tutorial so it left me wondering what else I should "stud." I found this studded shorts tutorial through Pinterest and decided I needed a pair of my own. That tutorial will help you if you have studs with "legs." This tutorial uses iron-on studs. They are filled with glue and once heated, they adhere themselves to fabric, wood, etc. I bought mine here.
I held the iron over the studs for probably about a minute total, for no more than 20 seconds at a time. I even turned my shorts inside out and ironed the opposite side of the shorts. Just wanted to be sure the glue was nice and sticky! I've worn these since and all the studs are still on. I have to admit I'm a little nervous about washing them though. I'll keep you posted! ;] xo JA

  1. These turned out great! I'd be worried about the studs coming off when cleaning them too, hopefully that doesn't happen for a long time though!
