Do you guys remember Jessica from Oh So Antsy? She hand-saws and hammers super cute state necklace pendants. I'm so glad to have her back on JAA!
"My name is Jessica and I make jewelry over at shopohsoantsy and I blog about my life at ohsoantsy. This is my second time visiting JAA and I’m thrilled to be back. I love Julie Ann’s community and she herself is kind of awesome.
Last time I was here I shared about my shop and what it means to me. Today I would like to share where I create my work. I think it’s so interesting to see where people create and I love what I am able to accomplish in such a small space with so little.
Welcome to my home! Most of my work is done right on my windowsill which doubles as my workbench and a small step stool acts as my chair (it used to be a pile of books). I usually do my hammering in my lap, I do my drilling at my desk, the hearts get cut back at the windowsill and I do the rest of my finishing and packaging at my desk.
My supplies are sort of scattered throughout the house (we have a lot of cabinets in the kitchen so I’ve taken over a few) but the bulk of it lives in the desk. Right now in our small space it works out quite well but I’m dreaming of the day when I have a whole room dedicated to my business…I’d even settle for half a room."
